Overview

Tacki Garage ("the App") is a vehicle management app that helps you track modifications, maintenance, repairs, costs, and photos for your vehicles. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Information We Collect

Data You Provide

When you use Tacki Garage, you may provide the following information:

• Vehicle information — make, model, year, mileage, and other details about your vehicles
• Maintenance, repair, and modification records — logs you create within the app
• Cost and receipt data — dollar amounts and receipt photos you attach to records
• Photos — images you upload to document your vehicle, mods, repairs, and receipts, and to feature on your build card
• Audio recordings — short exhaust and cold-start sound clips you record with your device's microphone to attach to your build card
• Account information — the email address associated with your Google sign-in, used to create and maintain your account

Tacki Garage requests access to your microphone only to record exhaust and cold-start clips, and only at the moment you tap record — recording never happens in the background. Camera and photo-library access is used only when you choose to add a photo.

Data Collected Automatically

• Push notification tokens — used to send you maintenance reminders and app notifications
• App usage data — how you interact with the app, used to improve the product (via PostHog analytics)
• Device information — device type and operating system version, collected for analytics and error reporting purposes

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, physical address, or phone number
• We do not collect payment card numbers or banking information (all payments are processed by Apple)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Provide and operate the core features of Tacki Garage
• Display your build card and, when you choose to publish it, share your photos, audio clips, and build details in the community feed
• Sync your data across devices via secure cloud storage
• Send you maintenance reminders and push notifications you have enabled
• Process and manage your subscription via RevenueCat
• Analyze app usage in aggregate to improve features and performance
• Respond to your support requests

3. Community Features and Public Sharing

Tacki Garage includes an optional community feed where you can publish a build card to share your vehicle with other users. Publishing is always your choice.

When you publish a build, the following becomes publicly visible to other Tacki Garage users: the build card details you choose to include (vehicle specs, modifications, and stats), photos you add to the build, any exhaust or cold-start audio clips you record, your community username/builder number, and any comments or reactions you post. Photos and audio clips you publish are stored so they can be served publicly within the app.

Content shared this way is intended to be seen by other users. You can unpublish a build, or remove individual photos or audio clips, at any time — doing so removes them from the community feed. Reported content may be reviewed and removed.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database platform. When your device is offline, data is stored locally and synced to the cloud when a connection is available.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Tacki Garage uses the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:

6. Push Notifications

Tacki Garage may send push notifications for maintenance reminders and other app alerts. You can enable or disable notifications at any time through your device's Settings app.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be removed from our servers within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

8. Your Rights and Data Deletion

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of push notifications at any time via device settings

To request account deletion or a copy of your data, contact us at tackigarage@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

Tacki Garage is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
